This knife was forged from 1084, a high carbon steel. The bolster and cap are mild steel and the handle, made of ebony and curly mango, is assembled with out any glue or adhesives. The tang has been peened over and holds the handle together. The sheath is made of a triple laminate of curly maple that was split, and glued to a wedge of mahogany.
